In the rainy season a stream divides the village of Sefikile, with schools on both sides. The old bridge was dilapidated.

Work ran from 27 June to 30 September 2022 with the involvement of the Bakgatla Ba Kgafela land committee, and the bridges were handed over on 13 October 2022.
